Had an amazing time at #TechWeekend. Huge thanks to Yasmeen Butt & Founders Village for bringing together such a dynamic group of founders. Excited to see where these startups go next! 🚀 #VentureCapital #Startups #SiliconValley

Fresh off a weekend full of cool tech and big ideas! Team modzee had a blast at Tech Weekend in San Francisco with Founders Village. Thanks to Yasmeen Butt for hosting an insightful, collaborative and productive event. Some highlights: 🌎 We swapped insights and ideas with other founders from across the U.S., UK, Europe and Canada 💸 We heard from VCs about the investment and fundraising landscape (and how to approach your raise) ⚡️ We saw pitches from startup founders from clean air technology to EV charging ecosystems to holographics 🔮 We shared how modzee is shaping the future of employee management software And we enjoyed the sights, sounds and tastes of beautiful SF (driven comfortably around the city by self-driving Waymo!)

We just won our first pitch competition!!! Bootstrapping an early stage company is HARD. And we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for our customers who helped us identify the problem, partners who saw our vision, employees who took the risk, and the amazing mentors who have held me through the fire. This trip was especially meaningful because the only other time I was in #SF was at Founders Village. I remember coming the first time, almost intimidated in a new city, being around so many other amazing founders, revolutionary products, and great pitches. Yasmeen Butt has truly built something special and the VCs come! But I’m taking home the big W for #atlanta because without our tech community this wouldn’t have been made possible. Lastly, I also want to give a big shoutout and thank you to the amazing judges Maria Pienaar & Ed DeSanto. I appreciate all the hard questions you asked everyone - Swiss Army knives. Treeable #startuplife #earlystage #treeable #siliconvalley #sf #vc

What started in a backyard has become one of the most heartfelt gatherings in tech. Watching Yasmeen Butt share Tech Weekend's journey, you can hear the passion in her voice - every setback overcome, every small win celebrated. It's not just an event she created; it's a community she's nurtured with unwavering dedication. Having experienced 300+ events across the globe, I can say: Tech Weekend stands apart. Here, founders genuinely connect with investors, learn from peers worldwide, and become part of something authentic. But what makes it truly special is the soul Yasmeen has poured into it. From its humble beginnings to where it stands today, her vision of creating meaningful connections has never wavered. To founders considering the next Tech Weekend in March: come be part of this incredible community. Thank you Yasmeen Butt for showing us what's possible when you build with heart. Your journey continues to inspire us all.

Spending time in the heart of the tech world has been an amazing experience. San Francisco isn’t just about tech—it’s about the energy, the ambition, and the drive to make things happen. I had fantastic conversations with founders, investors, and industry leaders who are not just talking about change, but actively making it. The insights I’ve gained from these discussions have sparked new ideas and a clearer vision for where we’re heading with Nearby. The most valuable takeaway? How important it is to surround yourself with people who push boundaries and challenge your thinking. That’s exactly what this trip provided.
